Have you ever wondered how to check what version of WordPress you or any other site is using? there is a very simple way to do it.
Open the WordPress website you want to know the version of
Then just right click in your browser and click “view source”. This will allow you to see the source code of the page
You can use shortcut key also “ctrl + u”
Once you are viewing the source code press “ctrl + f” and search for the word “Generator”.
then you will be able to see a tag like this:
<meta name="generator" content="WordPress 4.4.2" />
This meta tag is used by WordPress to show that a site is created using WordPress. and you can see version of wordpress here too.
