Most of the time, a blogger when starts with a self-hosted WordPress blog, he forgets about changing WordPress permalinks.
so here’s complete guide for changing permalinks
By default, WordPress creates permalinks using the following structure:
Your Domain Name + Year When the Post was Published + Month When the Post was Published + Title of the Post
However, you can easily change the default structure WordPress uses when generating your permalinks (and, as a matter of fact, many users do this before they even launch their websites).
The process for how to change permalinks in WordPress is pretty painless. To get started, go to Settings → Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard.
There, you can use the radio boxes to select your desired permalink structure:
If the date provides important context for your content – like if you’re running a news site – you might want to use one of the options that includes the date in the URL, instead.
However, for most WordPress sites, Post name is definitely the way to go.
